SAMMI 2 Inch (50mm) Throat Bolt on Titanium Horn driver (SM3201)

The SAMMI SM3201 is an imported high performance 2″ throat bolt on ferrite magnet compression type high-frequency driver for use as a high frequency component in professional high quality sound reinforcement and reproduction applications.  The SM3201 offers exceptional high frequency performance:

High acoustic output 110 dB/1w/1m when coupled with the SH450  flare.

   Wide frequency range 500Hz to 18KHz when coupled with the SH450 flare.

80watt power handling above 800Hz .

When attenuated to a typical sensitivity of 100dBSPL  the input power handling at the network input terminals is 800W  relative to 2.83v/8-ohm reference.

This unit must be connected to a system via a frequency selective device the “crossover” which may be passive or active-electronic type. We recommend a minimum 12dB/octave high- pass filter, above 800Hz.  Refer to our computer-aided design filter networks which are designed to meet specific target response. In demanding applications a higher cut-off and also higher order network is recommended and necessary.

We chose the SAMMI SM3201 horn driver in our speaker systems due to its excellent overall performance.
