PAudio 1.4 Inch (35.5mm) Bolt on Titanium Horn driver (BM-D740)

The imported PAudio BM-D740 is a high performance 1.4″ (35.5mm) throat, bolt on high-frequency compression driver for use as a high frequency component in a professional high quality sound reinforcement and reproduction applications. The BM-B740 offers exceptional high frequency performance producing high acoustic output at 110 dB/1w/1m when coupled to a suitable flare. Wide frequency range 500Hz to 20kHz when coupled to a large format flare and a high 100 watt power handling above 800Hz. When attenuated to a typical sensitivity of 100dBSPL this implies and input power handling at the network input terminals of 1000W relative to 2.83v/8-ohm reference.

The compression driver must be connected to a system via a frequency selective device the “crossover” which may be passive or active-electronic type. We recommend a minimum 12dB/octave high-pass filter at 800Hz or higher, refer our computer-aided design filter networks which are designed to meet specific target response, however in demanding applications a higher order network is recommended and necessary. The use of a non-optimized crossover may result in inferior and often unreliable performance.

We chose use the PAudio BM-D740 in our speaker systems due to its excellent overall performance and reliability.
