18 Inch 2000W Bass-mid (AC470Y-B53s-8)

The AC470Y-B53s is an Australian made professional low frequency 18″ bass loudspeaker with a useful upper limit of 2.8kHz. This model has been designed for peak linear travel of 11.4mm and capable of 21mm before damage. The 2000W program rating is  achieved with through magnet cooling, thermal coupling to a massive die-cast aluminum and use of high temperature rated materials.

This model has a sensitivity of 96.3 dBSPL. This model employs a stiff curvilinear cone a product of our OFP technology and is molded in-house from a blend of premium air dried wood pulp and Kevlar fibres. This model employs dual separated spiders made of aramid material chosen for their high rigidity and long term stability in demanding applications. Choose this model for high acoustic loads such as band-pass and horn loaded applications. The treated accordion cloth surround made in house assures extreme levels with excellent linearity.

The AC470Y features die-cast aluminum frame, CNC precision components. The ferrite magnet-assembly is FE optimized. The bumped rear-plate permit large linear voice coil excursion and the shaped pole improves BL linearity. The aluminum shorting ring lowers distortion improves stability and enhances heat dissipation from the voice-coil. Wind noise is reduced with an undercut and flared vented pole-piece.
