The AC470Y-B3s is an Australian made professional low frequency 18″ bass loudspeaker with a useful upper limit of 2.8kHz. Loudest model in our range hence best choice if you only have 1000W amplifier. This model has a peak linear travel of 7.5mm but capable of 21mm peak before damage. The 1500W program rating is achieved with through magnet cooling, thermal coupling to a massive die-cast aluminum frame and use of high temperature rated materials.

This model has a sensitivity of 98 dBSPL. The stiff ribbed cone is product of our OFP technology and is moulded in-house from a blend of premium air-dried wood pulp and Kevlar fibres resulting in smooth controlled mid response.
The AC470Y features die-cast aluminium frame, CNC precision components. The ferrite magnet-assembly is FE optimized. The bumped rear-plate permit large linear voice coil excursion and the shaped pole improves BL linearity. The aluminium shorting ring lowers distortion improves stability and enhances heat dissipation from the voice-coil. Wind noise is reduced with an undercut and flared vented pole-piece.
The spider is made of aramid material chosen for its high rigidity and long-term stability in demanding applications. The treated accordion cloth surround assures extreme levels with excellent linearity.
