PAudio 1 Inch (25.4mm) Bolt on Titanium Horn Driver (BM-D450)

The BM-D450 is a PAudio ferrite magnet high performance 1″ throat, bolt-on type, high-frequency compression driver for use as a high frequency component in professional high quality sound reinforcement and reproduction applications.

The BM-D450 has exceptional high frequency performance offering a high acoustic output of 108dB/1W/1m when coupled to the SH230 flare.      Wide frequency range 800Hz to 20KHz when coupled to the SH230 flare and high 80watt power handling above 2.2kHz. When attenuated to a typical sensitivity of 100dBSPL the input power handling at the network input terminals is 500W relative to 2.83v/8-ohm reference.

 The horn driver must be connected to a system via a frequency selective device the “crossover” which may be passive or active-electronic type. We recommend a minimum 12dB/octave high-pass filter at 2.2kHz or higher, refer our computer-aided design filter networks which are designed to meet specific target response, however in demanding applications a higher order network is recommended and necessary.

The use of a non-optimized crossover may result in inferior performance. The diaphragm is terminated with quick connect push terminals, observe polarity.

 Three equi-spaced 6mm metric threaded holes on a 57mm PCD and an additionally two 6mm metric threaded holes on a 76mm PCD are provided for horn flare attachment .  Threaded inserts, nuts, washers and a spanner are provided
